SERVICE 02 · AI AGENTS

AI assistants for the questions and tasks your team repeats.

An AI agent is software with a narrow, defined job. It answers from knowledge you have approved, drafts text for a person to review, and takes an action only where you have separately authorized it. Reading, drafting and acting are separate permissions, and a person stays in charge.

20 minutes to discuss your business. Currently complimentary, with no obligation to proceed.

WHO IT IS FOR

Teams that answer the same questions again and again.

This service suits home service and professional service businesses where staff spend meaningful time looking up answers, sorting incoming requests or writing routine replies, and where a mistake would matter. If a simple rule can do the job, Workflow Automation is usually the better fit. An agent is worth considering when the work involves reading and writing in plain language.

PROBLEMS WE ADDRESS

Where an agent may help.

DEMONSTRATION

See how an approved answer becomes a reviewed draft.

Pick a sample question. The demonstration shows the approved information an agent would be allowed to use, the draft it could prepare, and the person who reviews it.

Demonstration, not a live agent

  1. 1 · Question

“Do you serve homes outside town?”

  2. 2 · Approved knowledge

Service area policy (sample)Homes within the listed service area are booked directly. Addresses outside it are checked by the office case by case.

  3. 3 · Draft

“Thanks for asking. We book homes inside our service area directly, and the office checks addresses outside it. Could you share your address and what you need help with?”

  4. 4 · Human review

A team member checks the address, edits the draft and decides whether to send it.

  1. 1 · Question

    “Can I change my appointment?”

  2. 2 · Approved knowledge

Scheduling policy (sample)Appointments can be changed by contacting the office before the visit. The office confirms the new time.

  3. 3 · Draft

“Yes, we can look at a new time. Please tell us the best days for you and the office will confirm a new appointment.”

  4. 4 · Human review

A team member checks the calendar and confirms the new time. The agent does not change bookings.

  1. 1 · Question

“What should I prepare before a visit?”

  2. 2 · Approved knowledge

Visit checklist (sample)Clear access to the area, a note of anything unusual you have noticed, and any earlier service records you have.

  3. 3 · Draft

“Before we arrive, please clear access to the area, note anything unusual you have seen, and share any earlier service records you have.”

  4. 4 · Human review

A team member confirms the checklist matches the job, then sends or edits the message.

Three approved starting points

Illustrative example

Knowledge assistant

Staff ask a question and the assistant answers only from sources you have approved, such as service descriptions, policies and checklists, and points to the source it used. If the answer is not in those sources, it says so rather than guessing.

Illustrative example

Intake support

The agent helps organize an incoming inquiry by asking for missing details, summarizing the request and handing it to the right person, who decides what happens next.

Illustrative example

Staff draft assistance

The agent prepares a draft reply from the inquiry and your approved material. A team member reviews, edits and sends it. The agent does not send anything itself.

PERMISSIONS

Reading, drafting and acting are separate.

PermissionWhat it meansDefault
ReadingWhich agreed knowledge sources the agent may use.Only sources you approve.
DraftingPreparing text for a person to review.Draft for review, never sent.
ActingChanging a record or sending something on its own.Off unless separately scoped and authorized.

An agent does not issue automatic quotes, make bookings, process refunds, send messages or make other commitments on your behalf unless that action has been separately scoped and you have authorized it in writing.

DELIVERABLES, SUBJECT TO SCOPE

What an agent engagement can include.

HOW WE WORK TOGETHER

What we need from you, and what you keep.

Work follows the same three delivery stages as every Aligents service. Scope, price and responsibilities are agreed in writing before work begins.

What you provide
  • The documents and answers the assistant may draw on, and confirmation that they are accurate and current.
  • Guidance on what is off limits, such as pricing, legal or medical topics, or customer data.
  • People who will review drafts and respond to handoffs.
  • Example questions and replies from real work, shared privately and used only for the agreed purpose.
Process: discovery to handoff
  1. DiscoveryWe identify one recurring task worth improving and whether an AI assistant is the right tool at all.
  2. RequirementsWe agree knowledge sources, permissions, handoff rules and success checks.
  3. Design and architectureWe plan how the assistant reads, drafts and hands off, and which tools and accounts are involved.
  4. TestingWe test with realistic and tricky examples before anyone relies on it, and review results with you.
  5. HandoffYour team receives documentation and training. Ongoing review and updates can be scoped as Flight Deck Support.
Ownership, ongoing costs and support

Your knowledge sources, configuration and documentation are agreed as yours before work starts. Assistants typically rely on third-party model and software subscriptions, and these usually carry recurring or usage-based costs. Aligents identifies those costs before work begins, and accounts are set up in your name where practical. Assistants also need maintenance: sources go out of date and behavior should be reviewed periodically. Cost depends on the sources, the tasks and the review process involved.

WORKING WITH THE OTHER SERVICES

Useful alone, stronger with a good foundation.

An agent can work without the other services. It often helps to have a clear website inquiry path feeding it, and workflow automation to route its output to the right person. Those are options, not requirements.

QUESTIONS

AI agent questions.

Will the agent talk to my customers directly?

Not by default. The usual starting points support your staff. Customer-facing behavior would need separate scoping, testing and your written authorization.

Can an agent make mistakes?

Yes. That is why drafts are reviewed, sources are limited, tests include difficult cases and a human handoff exists. No agent is error-free.

Will it send quotes, book appointments or issue refunds?

No, not unless that action is separately scoped and you authorize it. Those commitments stay with your team by default.

What happens to my business information?

Only the sources you agree to are used, and we explain which vendors process data before work begins. Review each vendor’s terms for your own requirements.

Do I need an agent, or just automation?

If a fixed rule can do the job, rules-based workflow automation is simpler and more predictable. We tell you honestly when an agent is not needed.

Is there a live agent on this site?

No. This website describes the service and does not run a live AI model. The simulator on the homepage uses illustrative text only.
